Opplopolis returns

The first two pages of the 16th chapter of Opplopolis are here. Two new pages will be released every Friday. This will go on for 60 weeks until Opplopolis chapter 20 is completed.

Now look, I have no illusions here. Right now I am speaking to a number of people which might exceed twenty, but almost certainly does not exceed thirty. Opplopolis never developed a significant following during its run, and certainly the world has moved on from this sort of thing.

So why finish it?

Partly it’s bibliophilia on my part. I really want a 500 page omnibus for my bookshelf. Digital printing and print on demand technology has developed incredibly over recent years. I know what to do, I have the tools to do it— all I need is the finished comic.

Besides that, there is a sense of something left undone. A gap in my resume. And anyway, 20-30 readers is still 20-30 readers. I do feel some responsibility to you for stringing you along (even though stringing you along is what Opplopolis is all about).

So here we go. I’ll limit these updates to chapter completion, so expect another one of these in twelve weeks. I am putting the pages on twitter as they go up. You can talk to me there if you want to or if you have any questions or concerns.
