This is Back.
The last update to this website went up in 2013 to commemorate its 10th anniversary. At that time, it had already been mostly abandoned. Our attentions had shifted over to opplopolis.com and my other comic being published there. Then in 2015 Opplopolis was abandoned and that was it. Both websites were left to fester and decay (well, decay in the way that websites decay — they stayed the same, but changing standards made them seem to decay — you know what I mean).
Myself, I started painting. I got pretty good at it; at least I think so. Here’s what that looks like, in case you’re interested. Still, I never stopped cartooning, thinking about comics (and video games, as you’ll see), or undertaking little projects unrelated to my other artistic output.
For the past few years, I’ve been thinking about rehabilitating this website into a place to keep all my — well, I don’t know how to distinguish these projects, really. Pop-art has other connotations. Nerdy, I guess, describes a lot of them. At any rate, this is all stuff I’ve done under my pseudonym: Kit Roebuck. This is Kit’s website.
So the two comics, Nine Planets Without Intelligent Life and Opplopolis are here. Nine Planets is presented in print format rather than its original “infinite canvas” form. My hope is that this will make it easier to read on modern devices. Opplopolis has been uploaded in higher resolution than it originally appeared. No, it has not been finished.
Besides that, there is a Portfolio page that contains, or will contain, all my other projects, as well as sketchbook pages and other ephemera. A lot of this is material that you might have seen on my tumblr over the years if you ever peeked at that, but there are already some things there that I haven’t shared before, and will be many more.
I am very much still working on this site. I always will be, I expect, so if you want updates follow me on twitter: @BohemianDrive. The bird thing is up in the header. That’s best way to contact me as well. Whenever something major gets changed, I’ll post an update here as well. Ok.
Thanks as always to Alec Reed for his help. By the way, if you miss the old site, we’ve archived it here.
